“ It’s a great Jamaican food. Personal recommendation is ox tail. Hidden gem in rapid city. ”
“ Unassuming, dated restaurant with some of the best cooking I’ve had in years. Did not expect a Jamaican restaurant to be the highlight of my trip to Rushmore, but life keeps me guessing. ”
“ This is an absolute great find!! You will not see the sign outside the door I added the exterior pictures. I will tell you that if it is your first time trying Jamaican food it is going to set the bar really high. I am in town for a day, had dinner here and plan on coming back for lunch before I catch my flight out tomorrow. Since I breathed the food down, didn't get a chance to take a picture. I will add pictures from my lunch tomorrow. Added pics and the food doesn't disappoint!! ”
“ Walking in here, the decor is screaming for a serious refresh, and seeing the food in those trays? Not exactly setting a gourmet mood. My skepticism was definitely dialed up. But then came the oxtail. Seriously, forget the surroundings for a minute because this dish is straight flavor town. It completely blew me away. This isn't just good oxtail; it's next-level oxtail. The richness, the tenderness – it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Whoever is cooking this knows exactly what they're doing. The portion size is large enough for two meals which is a great value. The vibe isn't going to win any design awards. But if you're willing to bypass the atmosphere and the cafeteria setup, you're in for a treat with that oxtail. ”
“ This food was amazing and MADE WITH LOVE. We tried 5 of the dishes and they were all good! We tried the Jamaican soda and we liked that too! What an amazing, ethnic restaurant. If you have your doubts, just go! You will be so happy you did! ”
“ We went there for dinner one day prior to going to Mount Rushmore and let me tell you one thing- if you want to feel the taste of home cooked food as well as want to try out Jamaican cuisine for the first time I’d definitely highly recommend this place. Hands down the best home cooked Jamaican food I’ve ever had. I wish I could go there frequently. The lady that was serving there was such an amazingly wonderful person, all my friends including me felt motherly affection from her. She’s an extremely caring and nice lady. We love how kind and generous you are ma’am. And best oxtail I’ve ever tasted FYI- I’m reviewing this place after 1.5 years of my trip so this should tell you ‘how lazy I’m’ and how amazing this place is that I still remembered them and wanted to review. ”
“ A great hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Very friendly lady working there. We ordered ox tail stew and jerk chicken. The portions were generous and the food delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Rapid City. ”
“ I've been dining here for years and have never had a bad meal. Whether it's the ox tail, brown stew chicken, or jerk chicken it's all tasty! Thank for all the amazing meals Pauline! ”
